Update Concat
The app updates itself from Settings › Version, and can go back a release too.
Open Settings (the gear at the top right) and go to Version.
- The page names the installed version and says whether it is the latest. Check for updates asks GitHub Releases.
- Switch version lists every release from 0.2.5 on, newer or older. Pick one and click Install: the build downloads, the installer runs, and Concat starts again on the version you chose. Releases before 0.2.5 cannot update themselves, which is why they are not offered.
Where updates come from
| Install | How it updates |
|---|---|
| macOS disk image, Windows setup, AppImage | From Settings › Version, in place |
| Windows MSI | From Settings › Version, with the next MSI |
| Debian, RPM and Arch packages | Settings › Version downloads the package and opens it in the system installer |
| Flatpak from Flatpark | Through Flatpak; Settings says “Installed as a Flatpak: updates come through Flatpak.” |
| Microsoft Store | Through the store |
| Android APK, iOS IPA | Download the new file from GitHub Releases and install it over the old one |
A build you compiled yourself has nothing to put in its place, and Settings says so.
Projects across versions
A project opened in a newer version may convert something on open and say so in a notice: effects that were replaced by newer ones, clips that played backwards in an older version. Save to keep the change. Projects with shapes do not open correctly in 0.2.5 or earlier.
